In Brief

Learning objective

In Counting Bugs, the players can practice their counting skills and at the same time get to experience different kinds of insects.

Game objective

The objective of the game is to get the number of insects in the four zones of the playing board to match the number written inside each zone.

Detailed Description

Gameplay

In each round, the playing board consists of four grey circular zones with a number inside. Scattered across the playing board are numerous insects. The players need to drag these insects and drop them into the zones until the number of insects in each zone matches the number written inside each of the four zones. When the players manage to do so, they have completed the round and the insects will disappear from the screen, only to be replaced by a new set of zones with different numbers and new insects that, again, need to be sorted so the number of insects and the written number inside each zone are identical.

Accessing new species of insects

For each round that the players complete, new species of insects are added to the game making the game more interesting for the players. In the main menu, two rows of cards indicate to the players which insects have been added to the game and how many they can still unlock by completing more rounds.
